Terry and Mandy spent the afternoon with mom. They sat outside in the sun much to her enjoyment. David and Pat went over later and I went by about 610. She was in the room and had some pants out she wanted me to put back up.
I told her I was up late last night because I drank so much tea at the cookout yesterday. "Thinking keeps me awake" she said. She said she had sat on the front porch with David and Pat and thought I had been there while Terry was there.
I told her I wasn't, that I had just gotten there. She said something else and then asked me where did I leave her when I left. I asked her when, and she said when I was there earlier. I told her again I was not there earlier and she said oh yeah and started laughing. I told her we were going to have to get our stories straight or no one would ever believe us if something happened.
She said she went to check on Bingo this morning. "I knocked on his door with my bracelet after Sunday school" she said. He was behind the curtain and never came out. I told her he probably didn't hear her. Then she said it must have done him some good for her to check on his because he was at supper this evening. "He looked like his old self sitting there in his chair" she said.
She said something about she hoped Tim and Michelle didn't catch the spine flu while they were in Charleston. I asked her if she meant swine flu and she laughed and said "I hope I ain't started something new." I started to leave and she told me to have sweet dreams which reminded me of two dreams I had about daddy last night.
I told her in one our house was on Lowell Road and dad got on a scooter and sat it on the railroad rail and took off toward his church in Smyre. I saw his face and he was smiling and waving goodbye as he left. I told her I should have took a picture of him on it so I got in the car and set off toward the church so I could take a picture of him on the scooter on the rails.
"He would've done that. He was an ol daring person" she said. "He used to tear me up trying to dance" she went on. She said he didn't have any rhythm. I told her I didn't either and that's why I quit piano.
